ABOUT US
I am an experienced and qualified integrative counsellor and qualified clinical supervisor, working with adults aged 18 and over. My approach draws on different therapeutic models so that therapy can be tailored to your individual needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
I have a particular specialism in disordered eating and eating disorders, including difficulties with body image, and I hold a Master Practitioner Advanced Diploma in Eating Disorders and Obesity from the National Centre of Eating Disorders. Additionally, I can provide support with a range of mental health difficulties including anxiety, panic disorders, depression/low mood, low self-esteem/low self-confidence, relationship difficulties, family issues, stress.
Alongside my private practice, I also work as a Specialist Eating Disorder Therapist with the NHS, through NELFT All Age Eating Disorder Service and I have experience of working in schools, colleges, specialist eating disorder hospitals and community counselling settings.
The range of experience has given me a deep understanding of the complex emotional struggles people may be facing and of their uncertainty of when to reach out for help.
I offer one-to-one counselling sessions remotely via MS Teams/Zoom and appointments are available during weekday daytime hours. Some clients come to therapy for short-term support (typically 6-12 sessions) to work through a specific issue. Others choose longer-term therapy to explore more complex or longstanding difficulties. We can discuss what feels most helpful for you during an initial consultation

I am an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which means that I work in accordance with their professional and ethical standards. To ensure safe and professional practice, I also hold full professional insurance and am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and comply with GDPR. I also hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate. I am a member of Beat, the UK’s leading eating disorder charity; NCfED, the National Centre for Eating Disorders; New Maudsley Carers Kent and am listed on directories including Counselling Directory Confidentiality is an important part of the therapeutic relationship. During our initial consultation we will discuss how confidentiality works and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have before deciding whether you would like to begin therapy. |
